Can I return an item?

Of course. It is very important to us that all customers are happy with both the service and the goods they purchase on, and sometimes, for one reason or another, a customer may wish to return a product.

Waremakers acts in full compliance with the EU Distance Selling Directive.


What do I do?

Returning or exchanging an item is simple. It usually involves just returning the item along with the returns note found in the package you received. 

To initiate a return, simply click 'My Waremakers’ at the top right of the page. Sign in to your account with your password and then click on the 'return/enquire' button next to the relevant product. Here you will find simple instructions about what to do.

If you did not choose a password for 'My Waremakers' yourself, one was emailed to you when you placed the order.

We recommend that you return the goods in appropriate packaging, use a ‘signed for’ delivery method and obtain proof of postage. Do not destroy or dispose of any product, even if it is faulty, unless such arrangements have been made with the seller.

Waremakers, as the payment agent of the seller, will then process a refund of your order directly to your debit or credit card within 30 days.

What is your returns policy?

We guarantee that you have the right to cancel the contract to buy within a minimum of 7 working days of receiving your purchase without giving any reason and without penalty, except the cost of returning the goods.

Some sellers may offer extended periods in which you can cancel contracts to buy. Please consult the “Delivery and returns” area on any item found on or the 'Term, delivery & returns' area on the page of the relevant Seller ('nameofmaker', e.g.

If you have cancelled the contract you have the right to a refund within 30 days of cancellation but we aim to always perform the refund within 48 hours of having received the returned item. 

Exemptions and exceptions

The following items are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable:

  • Personalised items that are specially made, or ordered, with your choice of name, fabric, message or other customised aspect that makes the item unique to your requirements and therefore cannot be resold.
