We aim to become a globally recognised brand and to help inspire a move away from fast consumerism and towards people buying and using better quality products.

Junior Digital Designer

Our aim is to become a globally recognised brand and to help inspire a move away from fast consumerism and towards people buying and using better quality products.

And we need the help of a gifted and experienced Junior Digital Designer to complete our marketing team.

English speaker ― or fluency at a bi-lingual level

An ability to speak Spanish (fluent or strong) would be an advantage, but is not essential.


The Digital Designer will work with the Marketing and Content teams to aid in the production and management of all visual content for Waremakers.  This will include all visual content on our website, as well as our online marketing initiatives.

It is essential that you have quality active and demonstrable design and photo editing experience, so that you’re able to hit the ground running.

As an online-only business, compelling, engaging and demonstrative content is vital — and that’s where you come in.

PRIMARY role responsibilities will include:

  • Editing & resizing of all product images to ensure they are website-ready
  • Image quality control – ensuring all imagery matches our brand style & requirements
  • Design of headers, banners and key tile imagery to promote our collections and articles
  • Design and editing of all image content for use on social media and other online media


We are a start-up, so we need driven and super versatile people.   You need to be organised and work effectively and efficiently with a conscientious and can-do attitude. You are highly self-motivated and pro-active.

You take a design brief as a starting point — you can follow tight briefs to the letter, but you can also interpret loose briefs with creativity and brand sensitivity.

You will feel comfortable managing a large workflow to precise time and quality requirements.  As an e-commerce business, we manage a large quantity of image content.  We launch multiple producers on our site each month.  Some of our larger producers have 100+ products, with each product having 5+ context and product images which require editing.  With such a large amount of inbound imagery that needs making web-ready, your time and task management skills are key.

You have strong experience in the following:

  • Adobe Creative Suite:  Photoshop & InDesign
  • Photo editing:  Model & product shots, both in studio and ‘wild’
  • Still image design:  Turning tight or loose briefs in to marketing and promotional materials to run across multiple platforms – Facebook, website, Instagram, blogs and more

If you have experience in the following, we would be very happy:

  • Full Adobe Creative Suite
  • Video & Animation software
  • CMS for e-commerce websites
  • Design for social platforms:  Knowledge of Facebook design dimensions and limitations, including text limits, Canvas and more.

We recently partnered with one of Europe's biggest companies in our sector and are setting out on a mission with all the buzz and energy that this entails. You will become part of an international team consisting of 10-12 people and be part of the project almost from the start.
